# Cursor

> Connect CaptureFlow to Cursor.

Add CaptureFlow to your MCP configuration (`~/.cursor/mcp.json` for all projects, or `.cursor/mcp.json` in a project):

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "captureflow": {
      "url": "https://mcp.captureflow.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Cursor shows the server in its MCP settings with a sign-in button: sign in to CaptureFlow, choose the workspace and what Cursor may do.

Cursor's agent can run shell commands, so it can use the [file upload](https://docs.captureflow.ai/guides/uploads.md) tools.

Prefer an API key? Add a header instead of signing in:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "captureflow": {
      "url": "https://mcp.captureflow.ai/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer cf_live_..." }
    }
  }
}
```

Use a key limited to one workspace, with only the permissions needed and an expiry date: it is stored in Cursor's settings.
